GUIDE Seller’s Shipping Method

One of the shipping options that AliExpress offers and that often creates more uncertainty is the mysterious “seller’s shipping method”. Do you know what kind of program it is and how it works? Now we’re going to analyze it and compare it to other shipping methods that usually appear as an alternative to the “seller’s shipping method“.

What is “Seller’s Shipping Method”?

“Seller’s Shipping Method” means that the Seller chooses the shipping method and courier company that they want. Therefore, this alternative method cannot be classified in the one already established at AliExpress, which we explain in the article shipping methods. Remember, you don’t know which company the seller is using to ship your order until they ship it to you.

Follow up

Although this shipping method is determined by the seller, it will always be normal and untracked. So once your order leaves China and reaches your country, you will no longer be able to track it.

This is because it is a very cheap shipping method and it is used for low value items (less than $ 5) so it is usually free. For normal shipments, you do not have to sign for the delivery person to deliver the order. In addition, it is common for the postman to leave it in your mailbox.
If it doesn’t fit, leave a notice so you can pick it up at your local post office (or equivalent in your country).

How can I find out which courier company is processing my order?

If you have already made your purchase and verified that your delivery is being made using the seller’s shipping method, all you have to do is click here and click on “Continue Order”.

Remember that the tracking number of your order may take several days (between 5 and 10) to provide you with information from the time of purchase. If you don’t see anything as you type, wait a few days and try again. You can also write directly to the seller to ask which company they shipped your item with.

Expected delivery time

In contrast to the other AliExpress shipping methods, which have an estimated delivery date, AliExpress gives you a closed delivery date of 75-80 days under “Seller’s shipping method”.

At first glance, it may seem too high, but since the seller has the free hand to choose a company or another courier, AliExpress cannot provide such a tight date in this case as with other shipping methods. The most normal thing is for it to get to you in much less time, although typically these aren’t the fastest shipments.

What does ‘x’ mean delivery date or full refund?

As you will see, it says “or full refund” next to the delivery date. This means that if you don’t receive your order during this time, you will have the option to open a dispute to request a full refund and AliExpress will accept it.

Open disputes when you really need them

Be careful because AliExpress takes into account whether you usually open a dispute on a regular basis or whether it is a tool that you only use as a last resort. If it’s something you use regularly, you run the risk of AliExpress no longer taking you seriously and not accepting the dispute even if you haven’t received your order.

If your only option to get free shipping is through the “Seller’s Shipping Method” we recommend that you choose this without any problems as it is a little slow but usually doesn’t cause any problems. In the case of cheap items, it is not worth paying for shipping because that way it may not be as profitable to buy through AliExpress.

“Seller’s Shipping Method” compared to other popular AliExpress shipments

If you can choose between “Seller’s Shipping Method” and another one (and both are free), we’ll compare this method to other very popular ones on AliExpress that you can usually use to find it.

«Seller’s shipping method» vs. «AliExpress Saver Shipping»

Although both shipments are common, AliExpress Saver Shipping allows you to track your order at all times, which is a very important benefit. The estimated delivery time is also 30 days for “AliExpress Saver Shipping”. With all of this, if you have a choice between the two, always choose AliExpress Saver Shipping.

«Seller’s shipping method» vs. «AliExpress Standard Shipping»

It is not common to find these two free shipping methods on the same product, although it can happen. “AliExpress Standard Shipping” is one of the best hot day shipping methods that AliExpress offers: fast shipping in 15-20 days and certified. Therefore, there is no doubt that “AliExpress Standard Shipping” is the best option.

«Seller’s shipping method» vs. «Cainiao Super Economy for special goods»

There isn’t much of a difference between these two methods, both are common and not tracked once they arrive in your country. The only difference is in the delivery date: while “Seller’s Shipping Method” takes 75-80 days, “Cainiao Super Economy for Special Goods”, although it is an estimated delivery, is 30-50 days.

For this reason alone, we chose “Cainiao Super Economy for Special Goods” because when you have a problem you don’t have to wait that long to open a dispute. Remember, you can read more about “Cainiao Super Economy for Special Goods” in this post.
