A while ago we could find several products on AliExpress that failed quality controls or infringed the intellectual property rights of some brands. But everything changed when the Alibaba marketplace decided to expand worldwide and began tracking products that could create international copyright conflicts.
As a result, replicas of soccer or basketball jerseys, fake polo shirts, shirts and trainers, among other things, gradually disappear.
But there are still some products that seem to have escaped the moderation of AliExpress like IPTV lists and players watching online pay TV. Will that change anytime soon? Is it worth the risk? We will explain everything about IPTV on AliExpress.
What are IPTV Lists?
IPTV lists allow you to watch pay TV channels from around the world at a lower annual rate than a month of access would cost if you rented it legally. It certainly sounds irresistible, but as we’ll see below, it has several drawbacks.
What channels does an IPTV list have?
The channel selection depends on the provider and the country for which the IPTV list is created. IPTVs for Spain usually include:
- Movistar and all its channels (cinema, sports, Laliga, Movistar 0…).
- Spanish DVB-T channels.
- Channels from other countries.
- DAZN.
- Channels with series and films from HBO, Netflix or Disney Plus.
- Series and films on demand (VOD).
- Adult channels
No free IPTV?
Until recently you could find free IPTV lists by searching the internet, but every day it gets harder.
In addition, paying a subscription ensures a more stable connection, better choice of channels, and even access to the latest movies. Hence, it is not surprising that many are searching like crazy for IPTV list providers.
How do you work?
Below we discuss some concepts you should know about the world of IPTV.
IPTV quality
Not all IPTV lists are created equal. Some providers offer channels in 4K quality, which is ideal if you have a display that supports that resolution. However, the higher the picture quality, the higher the internet speed you will need. In addition, channels in 4K tend to have more cuts.
Matching programs
Another problem is the rendering of the IPTV channel list. If you want to use it on your computer, you can just use the VLC program. It’s very easy. But if you want to play it on your TV and you have a smart TV, you have to look for a reliably compatible program and it’s often not an easy task.
IOS users also have a hard time, as Apple takes security very seriously and there are very few programs in the App Store for playing IPTV lists. In addition, Apple does not allow you to install applications from outside its store.
TV box
For this reason, many users, whether they have a smart TV or not, use a TV box like this or a stick TV like the one from Xiaomi, which you can find here, as you can find more applications in the Play Store via Android or can install an APK application.
Ultimately, finding a good program is almost more important than finding a good IPTV list.
IPTV vs. CCCAM vs. Satellite Dish: Is It The Same?
Although they sound similar, IPTV and CCCAM are two different systems for viewing pay channels. As already mentioned, with IPTV you can watch pay channels over the Internet and only need one program to configure the lists. You’ll need a Chromecast, Fire Stick, or Android TV Box to install the application and watch the channels on your TV. You will also need a good quality internet connection (better if it is fiber optic) but sometimes the signal will drop. In the case of CCCAMs, on the other hand, the sender sends the signal from the payment channels in encrypted form via satellite. Therefore, you need a satellite decoder with such a CCCAM function and a satellite antenna for access.
Finally, you’ll need the address and password of the server sending the signal (this is called clines), which can also be found on sites like AliExpress. The advantage of CCCAM over IPTV is that it has fewer cuts, the signal is more stable and you need internet, but an ADSL connection is sufficient. However, you have to make a small chore on the equipment and then when it stops working it can be a waste of money.
Finally, in addition to IPTV and CCCAM, there is a third option: With a satellite dish and a decoder, you can legally watch open channels from other countries without the need for CCCAM or IPTV.
The list of channels depends on whether the antenna is focused on Astra, Hotbird. All you have to do is focus your satellite dish and configure the channels.
Our opinion on AliExpress IPTV
Without a doubt, the idea of IPTV sounds very attractive: having all services and channels with a single annual payment and at a very affordable price. Unfortunately, it’s illegal, and we also bring you some drawbacks that you may not have thought of.
1. It is illegal and can suddenly stop working
If you decide to buy an IPTV list we would like to warn you that it may suddenly stop working. In Europe, Europol raids to seize IPTV signal broadcasters are becoming more frequent, leaving millions of users out of the signal.
In the US they have also indicted various IPTV service providers, and these lawsuits have affected large internet companies like Facebook, Google or Paypal, so it is possible for search engines to limit the results of these services in a short period of time. With Europe and the United States on the warpath against these practices, and with legal precedents in place in several countries, it is entirely possible that these services will gradually disappear. As a user, you shouldn’t worry, the very possibility is that your IPTV list will stop working overnight and you will lose your investment with no opportunity to claim.
2. Cuts and delays in sporting events
Sports fans are the ones who buy most of the IPTV lists as they allow them to watch all kinds of games while spending very little money. However, it’s not uncommon to watch an important game and learn from your neighbors that they scored a goal. Transmission delays and failures can certainly occur.
3. No subtitles or audio options
As mentioned earlier, many IPTV offer series and films on demand as well as international channels. However, you can’t change the language or add subtitles, which is what you can do on the original platforms.
